Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat herniated or degenerative discs in the neck (cervical spine). Through a small incision at the front of the neck, the surgeon carefully moves aside muscles to access the spine. Using a special X-ray for guidance, the damaged disc is removed, and a bone graft or titanium plate is inserted to stabilize the area.
