Dr. Douglas Slaughter is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and specialist here at Total Spine and Orthopedics. Dr. Slaughter’s primary area of expertise is spine surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive procedures and reconstructive surgery. With over 22 years of experience practicing orthopedic surgery, Dr. Slaughter is uniquely equipped to help our patients achieve long-lasting and effective symptom relief.
Dr. Slaughter earned his medical degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Maricopa Medical Center. He further specialized in spinal reconstructive surgery at Beth Israel Spine Institute.
Dr. Slaughter’s distinguished background includes service in the United States Army Reserves alongside the successful completion of his dual-major degree in mechanical engineering and biochemistry from Ohio State University.
