Dr. Vliegenthart is a non-surgical orthopedic specialist with extensive experience in treating patients who suffer from neck, back, and joint problems. He completed a fellowship training in Orthopedic surgery and has vast surgical experience in a variety of specialties including sports medicine, spine surgery, hand surgery, and total joint replacement.
Dr. Vliegenthart is a highly experienced non-surgical orthopedic surgeon here at Total Spine. His Orthopedic and Hand Surgery residency was completed at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago Illinois. Since then, he has served the Melbourne area since 1985 and completed a 5-year appointment to the Medicare Program Advisory and Oversight Committee after his appointment by President George W. Bush.
As an expert in surgical and non-surgical orthopedic procedures, Dr. Vliegenthart is available to discuss various possible treatment options with our patients to create the best treatment plan possible.
Dr. V is a native of Brevard County, graduating from Titusville High School. He loves playing golf in his free time as well as spending time with his children.
